A(an) (ex)friend

We all have those people in our lives who we bound up with so much that we think that the friendship will last a lifetime. Unfortunately, not all of them are destined to stay. When you see that the sincerity of the friendship is slipping away and that you talk to that person as you would talk to a stranger you have just met, or even worse, someone you don’t want to talk to, you kinda need to settle with the truth-it is over. Maybe you won’t stop talking to each other, but most certainly you won’t be as close as you once were. When you start to feel that the so-called friend is irritating you, that you feel relieved that you didn’t talk to him/her, it begins to slowly sink in your mind. The friendship’s spirit is long gone now. One of the weirdest feelings is when you see that person and you don’t have what to say to him/her. But that’s life. People come and go, we should learn from each other and know who is truly important to us.
